DQ – Digital Intelligence

As adults we are continually engaging with new digital tools and platforms, and living and working with these requires now a certain level of digital fluency (DQ Institute Digital Intelligence)

One of the riches resources for school, parents, educators and students in my opinion is the DQ Framework by DQ Institute providing an excellent set of references and provocations on the skills, knowledge and attitudes a digital fluent individual should be able to understand and engage with, be it the skills, attitudes or knowledge

The idea is that our digital fluency and intelligence should be framed by three approaches

These based on the 8 Digital Intelligences

I have been fortunate to be working with a team of Digital Learning Coaches who have collaborated over the last couple years on how to leverage these frameworks to support not only student, but parents and educators alike in integrating the 24 DQ Competencies

Tanya Irene @irene_tanya Digital Learning Coach has created these cards based on the 24 DQ Competencies and translated these into simpler language for Elementary and Middle School students, but we have also been using this with our parent population. These cards a platform to frame an understanding of the 24 DQ Competencies and integrate, adapt, connect these to lessons, parent workshop sessions or professional learning opportunities.
